Urgh, I’ve got a headache and I can’t see properly and I’m once again caught up in government bureaucracy.

How did this even happen?

I just had the shocking revelation that penguins are dinosaurs. Like, Happy Feet was a dinosaur movie. How weird is that?

Whoa holy fuck that’s incredible.

Damn, it’d be just typical for somebody to beat me to publishing my idea in the next 18 hours. Ah well.

They didn’t, and it’s been surprisingly successful overnight.

Alright RWBY fans. This here is my own Tumblr-based petition. The premise is simple:

If this post gets 10,000 notes by April 30, 2015, I will cosplay as Jaune in a dress from Vol. 2 at RTX.

Here is my face tag for you guys to decide if I look enough like Jaune to make it work.

I endorse this initiative and you should too.

Ended up doing a sort of “Myers-Briggs lite” text today. I’m not sure if I entirely trust the scientific efficacy of it, but I got INTJ, and I suppose it fits pretty well?

Also it’s apparently the rarest, so that’s cool I guess.

Apothecia is a Pretty Cool Webcomic by Taz Muir and Shelby Cragg! It updates three days a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Nineteen years ago, there was a young girl named Jesse. Jesse was always a quiet girl, a rigid girl, a girl with firm ideas about what was right and what was wrong. Nineteen years ago Jesse met a creature from beyond the stars. The creature was a monster in every sense of the word, born to kill and murder and move on to the next target, and yet on Earth it found itself trapped in a crater, unable to spread. Nineteen years ago Jesse, willful and moralistic Jesse, struggled in choosing whether to let it live in impotency, turn it over to authorities that would let it suffer eternally for its crimes, or take on the role of executioner herself.

Nineteen years ago, Jesse made a terrible mistake.

Now, Jesse is 30 years old, and one of the survivors of the monster’s initial attack on Earth. Now, the stakes are higher and more apparent than ever, and Jesse is once again the only one with the knowledge to decide this creature’s ultimate fate. But there was one more choice she could have made before, and could make again, and she may be more capable of it than she’s willing to admit.

Wow this is a dark comic. Not just in the disturbing imagery and art, but in the general themes. Jessie is a girl trapped by her own convictions, taking on responsibilities she really should never have had to, and her lack of knowledge or practical application of her morals results in heavy prices being paid. Even saying this much could be likely spoilers, in which case man I’m so sorry, but seeing the moral debates between a girl and a cosmic horror is both disturbing and hugely engrossing, and all my compliments go to the effective writing.

Of course the art is no slouch either, catching subtle details even within the rough art and really capturing the feel of the story. This is a comic that will keep me up at night, in more ways than one, and I couldn’t be happier. If you want a tale that’s one part cosmic horror and one part debate on how far people are willing to go, and the secrets they hide, then this is the comic for you.

Apothecia contains death, gore, and body horror, and is recommended for older teens and up.

Thanks to glassesblu for the suggestion!

I really need to update my fanventure. I always seem to update so infrequently, and there are so many plot concepts that I’ve come up with which I fear I will never be able to execute.
